Fully monitored exercise plan

Exercise

Prolonged home stay may lead to reducing regular physical activity and hence drop in muscle mass. ICU patients suffer the most muscle loss. Once the patient is stable and the physician gives a clearance, exercise must be slowly encouraged as per tolerance. A specialised team will prescribe safe, simple, exercises after an evaluation. These may include, breathing/strengthening exercises, activities for balance and control, stretching or a combination of these to restore fitness. Athletes with Covid may need additional testing before they resume sporting activities.

Psychology

Conducted online by a Clinical Psychologist

Mental Health

Covid has profound effects on the psyche. Some known factors that can cause mental health disturbances are

  1. Isolation
  2. Job insecurity
  3. Coping with difficult relationships at home due to the lockdown
  4. Parents having to attend to children a lot more than before
  5. The work from home culture leading to extended work hours
  6. Families losing their sole breadwinners to the disease

Our team of qualified clinical psychologists can help survivors with coping strategies.
